A chance to consider all that relates to being MFL Co-ordinator in your school - and for you to share some of the ideas you have for developing the role.

This is a twilight to become familair with the Take 10 resource that has now been produced in French...there is a Spanish version coming soon too!  Come along and find out how to use this material with your KS1 or KS2 children.  You will take away a copy of the resource free of charge..book early as tis is going to be popular!

(the same session will be run 3 times to allow the maximum number of participants)

Storytelling & Songs

This is THE storytelling course that ran last year and provides you not only with practical ideas on how to use storytelling and songs in the teaching of KS2 MFL, but also gives you resources to take away for your school.

Various documents, sets of lyrics, ideas related to the day are all here for you to help yourself to.

I have been unable to put the powerpoint on as a complete item...so have separated out into: Rhythm & Am stram gram;

It is not possible to save the handout version - only to print it so I hope that what I have done here will solve the problem!

Up, up and away!

We are very fortunate to have been able to secure a visit from Martine Pillette.  Martine will lead us through an in-depth study of progression in writing based on reading.  This is an  essential day for all who teach years 5 & 6.

Stars & Planets

A twilight to explore Stars and Planets - a cross curricular unit from the QCA Scheme of Work.  We shall be looking at the French version - but it also appears in Spanish and German in the relevant QCA SoW.   This sessio will have a return visit from Linda Owen - the creator of the "Ants in your Pants" spiral curriculum that many of us enjoyed in the Autumn Term.

LCP 1 & Early Start 1 training at Haygrove: session 1/4

Malou and Clare from Haygrove are once again going to run the LCP 1 and Early Start 1 training over 4 half days.  Attendance at all sessions is required: 2 Feb; 11 Feb; 12 March; 30 March 2009.

The theme this time will be Transition....this is joint conference run by Lesley Hooper (KS2 MFL) and Deb Wring (KS3+ MFL) for all those teaching KS2 MFL plus those from KS3 who are concerned with transition.  Our Keynote speaker is Carmel O'Hagan from CILT.
